Get to Know the Artist
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Caleb has been refining his artistic style from early childhood. With a strong foundation in the principles of drawing, he has spent years training his ability to observe and capture detail. He went on to continue his training while studying Illustration and Graphic Design at Taylor University. It was through this deep dive into the digital arts that Caleb came to discover his passion for the physical arts, specifically, painting.
After discovering his passion for the painting medium, Caleb devoted himself to an immersion into the worlds of acrylic and oil painting. Through lectures, literature, academic groups, and hours of studying the “Old Masters”, he has become captivated by the elegance of oils. Nonetheless, he has also found an important place in his studio for acrylics. Now living just outside of Lexington, KY, in the heart of “Bourbon Country”, he has built a niche in acrylic painted bourbon bottles. The collaboration of these two styles within his work has allowed for a wide exploration of subject matter.
What’s next? Outside of his commissions for bourbon bottles, Caleb is delving into a body of oil paintings exploring the majesty of cloud formations paired with aspects from Kentucky’s horse country.
